I’ve been cooking since a very young age. I remember my Grandma teaching me how to make biscuits, pot roast and oatmeal cookies. I had to have that Easy Bake oven so that my sister and I could create so many unbelievably delicious treats with a shell of plastic and a light bulb. I don’t really remember a time that I didn’t cook. I used to pull out my Better Homes & Gardens Junior cook book and plan feasts for each family member’s birthday and special occasions.
I realized later that exploring the culinary world would be my calling so I was off to culinary school and working in many restaurants, clubs, universities, and catering companies. I honed, through experience my passion for sharing food with family and friends.
I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010 and my cooking changed completely. I know the struggles of the diet restricted gourmand who just wants to taste everything but can’t.
I am inspired by vegetables and get a lot of wonder and joy by growing my own and ensuring that my menus are packed with vibrant, nutrient dense goodness from Mother Earth.
I have and continue to explore through traveling both nationally and internationally. Travel is always a culinary adventure and I love to be the forever student of food history, science and nutrition.
I hope to provide an amazing service to mid-Missouri and beyond through tantalizing dishes and feasts galore!
